Get Rid of Blackheads

Blackheads are a troubling skin problem for millions of people: young and old, of all races and nations.  While it is true that in the grand scheme of health problems, blackheads are not really that big of an issue, for those of us that suffer from them, they are a serious drain on self-esteem.  I do not claim to have all of the answers, but over the past few years, I have accumulated a lot of knowledge on how to get rid of blackheads.  My answers are not expensive snake oil, or other internet scams.  I think that common sense skin care techniques can treat and prevent blackheads at a very reasonable cost.

The absolute best way to rid oneself of blackheads is to wash your face regularly.  I am constantly surprised about how many people do not wash their faces every day.  This one, very simple and inexpensive technique could be all that is between you and a clearer face.

Picking blackheads is often tempting, especially if it makes them less visible.  However, it is rarely the correct course of action.  Picking irritates the face and often drives the infection deeper into the pore.  It can essentially be the root cause of future blackheads.  If you must remove a blackhead now, use a purpose-built extractor.  It will limit the damage to the surrounding skin.
